GRX is an affordable version of the RG guitar released in the 80s. Various RG models have been played by legendary guitarists from John Petrucci to Paul Gilbert. A beginner guitarist's first instrument should be good to play, sound good and look good. As a first guita, the Ibanez Gio is a strong choice. Neck of the guitar is small and flat.
